A small outfit with an interest in old circuits
auricle is a UK operation built around one question: what is that piece of hardware actually doing to the signal, and can it be done in software without losing the bit that makes it worth using?
Every plugin here started the same way. Wanting a piece of gear, pricing it up, laughing, then building it instead. The panels are drawn the way we would want them on a real rack: one screen, everything reachable, nothing hidden behind a menu.
Nothing here is a clone of anything. They are our own curves, our own saturation, and a few of our own mistakes left in where they happened to sound better than the correct answer.
The name is the outer ear. It seemed better than another three-letter acronym.
